Meditation

Meditation is an essential part of developing your connection to spirit.  It is also keeps your state of mind healthy by providing a stress relief, and strengthens your mind’s ability to focus.  There have been so many studies of the miraculous cures and even physical health benefits of meditation.  Spiritually, in many practices, meditation is the only way to attain enlightenment and in that process we all can experience a oneness with God.

Most intuitive and psychic development classes will have some kind of meditation practice in it because it is the best way to develop your connection to spirit.

Lisa K. teaches a few methods of meditation including methods for:

  • deep relaxation
  • energetic enhancement and cleansing
  • spiritual guidance
  • chakra clearing
  • developing your clairs
  • centering and connecting with the oneness within

Lisa K. has been practicing meditation for over 30 years.  In 1975 she learned TM or Transcendental Meditation.  Subsequently she learned the Hindu and Buddhist forms of meditation.  Lisa K. now develops guided meditations for a variety of purposes, from strengthening your intuition, developing your connection to the divine and becoming more aware of God within you.

Siddha Yoga and Sidda Yoga Meditation - Lisa K. received Shaktipat* in 1991 quite unexpectedly through meditation after beginning studies in Siddha Yoga.  Lisa has studied the practices and philosophy of Siddha Yoga since then.  Siddha Yoga is a Hindu spiritual path of discipline, of mastering the mind and senses with teachings and practices. The Siddha Yoga path teaches students to live in the awareness of the inner Self so that they can transform themselves as well as the world in which they live.  The Siddha Yoga practices are performed to touch and expand the inner mystical state, until over time one becomes established in the experience of yoga or oneness with God. The Siddha Yoga practices include meditation techniques, chanting, study, contemplation and service.

Transcendental Meditation - As a teenager, Lisa K. was taught Transcendental Meditation (TM).  Highly motivated by the mind and body health benefits of meditation as well as meditation being a practice on the path to enlightenment, Lisa has practiced TM for many years since then.  The Transcendental Meditation technique is based on the ancient Vedic tradition of enlightenment in India. This knowledge has been handed down by Vedic masters from generation to generation for thousands of years. In the 1960s, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi — the representative in our age of the Vedic tradition — introduced Transcendental Meditation to the world.  The goal of the Transcendental Meditation Technique is the state of enlightenment. This means we experience that inner calmness, that quiet state of least excitation, even when we are dynamically busy.

*SHAKTIPAT:
(lit., descent of grace) Yogic initiation in which the Siddha Guru transmits spiritual energy to the aspirant, thereby awakening the aspirant's dormant kundalini shakti.
